The Coffee Shop Dispatch: No Paywalls, Just Pão de Queijo

I spent forty years in the corporate world of finance and tech, which gave me two things: a retirement and a very healthy appreciation for the absurd. Now, I spend my days as the “old guy in the coffee shop,” observing the world, writing about its quirks, and trying to stay out of trouble.

The Philosophy:

Everything I produce is free and always will be. I don’t believe in paywalls or digital gatekeeping. My goal is simple: to provide a deep, often sarcastic, and hopefully insightful look at history, society, books, and the “daily gripes” that keep us all on our toes.

The Commitment:

I don’t just broadcast; I listen. I spend as much time reading and commenting on other creators’ work as I do writing my own. Every week, I even hand out my Capybara Award to the “Best of the Web” blogger who caught my eye.

The Contribution:

If you find value in the depth of these posts or just want to keep the sarcasm flowing, you can choose to contribute. There is no requirement and no set fee. Whether it’s $0 or the price of a snack, it all goes toward my only two remaining vices: strong coffee and pão de queijo.
