The Classics At Gutenberg

Reading Time: < 1 minute

If you have never heard of this site, here is my PSA. I heard about the Gutenberg site a year or so ago, but never really looked into it. This past week, I decided to go poke around there and give it a try. The site has thousands of old books, the classics that are now out of formal copyright, and you can download them for free. You can even read online. If you have a Kindle or any e-reader, you simply download the .epub file, log in to your Amazon Kindle account, and upload it; it will go to your Kindle.

I downloaded 4 or 5 books. What made me think of this, I recently read “The Great Gatsby.” Here is the link to the review.

I did not care much for the book, but I paid for it on Amazon when I could have read it here for free. Since I read the Mark Twain Biography, here is the link to that review. I want to read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn

I’m sure I read them years ago, but I thought to give them a go again. I also grabbed the Odyssey, Moby Dick, Sherlock Holmes, and a couple of others. If you want to check out the site and read some old classics, here is the link and the link to upload to a Kindle
