What’s the Best Online Course You’ve Ever Taken?
What are the best online courses worth taking? I’ve taken courses in Google Analytics, Python, HTML/CSS and SQL, and I still use what I learned.
What’s the best online course I’ve ever taken? I’ve taken a few, and some of them have actually been useful long after I finished the course.
I did take the Google Analytics certification, and it was very good. I also found some great deals on Udemy. Courses on Python, HTML/CSS, and SQL were very good.
I even used some of what I learned to create a simple site for a fellow blogger, “CJ Antichow” Her Blog is

The site I created for her (The Sidney Project) is hosted through GitHub, where I keep the code, and we added a purchased domain to make it more professional.
These were not courses I had to take. I took them because I wanted to learn more. They were well structured, had lifetime access, and the content and documentation were great.
When I look for a course on Udemy, there are a lot of choices, but I tend to stick with courses rated highly and with tens of thousands of students. That’s usually a good sign that the course is worth considering.
I did the same thing with this site that I set up for myself to use with my small business hobby, Old Guy Web Works. I still host it on GitHub Pages, although I will eventually establish a domain name for it.

I still use these courses and projects as reference points and review material for things I may have forgotten. Even in retirement, I like to keep sharp and continue working on technology-related projects.
I also created this independent blog as a way to experiment with GitHub and Hugo. It is hosted on GitHub, and I never established my own domain name for it.

I suppose that’s really the answer to the question.
The best courses I’ve taken aren’t necessarily the ones that gave me a certificate. They are the ones that taught me something I actually wanted to learn and that I still find useful years later.
Retirement doesn’t have to mean that you stop learning. Sometimes it’s nice to learn something simply because you’re interested in it.
