My Tattoo’s

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Daily writing prompt
What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?

I have four now, and I added three surrounding tattoos to make them better or more meaningful, so a total of seven. My first was the summer of 1984 in Hampton Beach. I was living there with three friends, and we all got them. My last was 2024 in Florida, adding some color to make it pop with my wife’s and Son’s names in a banner at the top.

Now, as for wanting, I have kicked it around and would definitely do it, but I have to be taken there to get it done. Since I now live in Brazil as my new home and a place I fell in love with years ago, I want to put on my right arm a blending of the American flag into the Brazilian flag to show my love of both countries and to honor my Brazilian side of the family that accepted this crazy gringo from day one.

  1. Is that 9/11 tattoo yours? Much love and respect. I still can’t talk fully about it but has impacted my life in a huge way.

I have two tattoos. One on my right wrist that has my handwriting and says Brave with three hearts in the Spartan Race colors. The other hand is an intricate beaded dangling bracelet design. I love it.

My next I would like to get on the back of my neck – a heart lined with kids, mine, and my husband’s names or initials.

    1. Yes the 9/11 is mine wrapped in the flag with an eagle that say’s ” Never forget” Thank you. They all have meaning. Thanks for the reply.

  2. That sounds like such a meaningful journey. I love how each tattoo tells a piece of your story, from friendships to family and new beginnings. The idea of blending both flags is beautiful—what a powerful way to honor where you come from and where you belong now.

    1. Thanks for the note I loved the post.

  3. Beautiful and meaningful art on your arm.

    1. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I try to keep something. I do this to have meaning, not just some ink for no reason.
