I have two favorites from two different countries. In the US, Ruth’s Chris Steak House is my top pick. Their steaks are always top-notch and cooked to perfection. The menu is à la carte, so you get to choose your own sides, whether it’s a classic baked potato, a salad (which always seems like an odd choice at a steakhouse), or their unusually skinny fries. Every visit feels special, and the food never disappoints.

In Brazil, while the famous Churrasco steakhouses are tempting enough to put you in a meat coma, my heart belongs to BB Lanches. This one-of-a-kind corner spot lets you grab your food to go or enjoy it right at the counter. The street food and fresh juices are out of this world (Suco de Morango – Strawberry). You’ll find classics like Pão de Queijo (cheese bread), Coxinha—a golden, breaded teardrop filled with chicken and cheese that is truly mind-blowing—and my personal favorite, Pastel de Carne, a crispy pastry stuffed with beef and egg. I could happily eat here every day if only my wallet would cooperate. Remember, I take donations.

So those are my two picks: one a classic US fine-dining experience, the other a Brazilian street-food gem. If I had to choose just one, BB Lanches would win every time.
