I really don’t have a favorite holiday. As a kid, it was Christmas for all the obvious reasons of a kid. I also liked Thanksgiving (US holiday). I liked that more when my grandmother was alive. Both of these holidays were ranked as my favorite when I was young and up to mid-adult life.
I’m older now, kids are grown, and the over-commercialization of everything, along with the rush and stress of the whole thing, I don’t really have a favorite or am very excited about any of the holidays. To me, any day that is quiet and enjoyable is best. I was never a big New Year’s guy. I find the whole thing silly; it is just another day. I know in the US the 4th people celebrate, but the whole nonsense of showing up at a place to sit in the grass or sand and watch 5 minutes of fireworks and then two hours of traffic is no big deal. I think most Americans don’t even consider what the day really means anymore.
I’m not religious, so easter is nothing to me, and I honestly get a bit annoyed when people celebrate these days, but don’t live by the meaning.
So, as to the question, nothing really falls into a favorite anymore. They are just days like any other for me.
