I chose this post as my favorite for the week because Cee Tee Jackson brings back a lot of memories for me, and the music I was listening to or just starting to listen to at the time. Also, he is just a bit older, but what drew me in was the Debbie Harry part. I remember I got a Blondie cassette for my birthday, around 1977, when I was 14, and I only heard about the band briefly. I was still in a Kiss, Aerosmith-type genre. However, as time passed, I started to get more into the bands Cee Cee mentions, like the Sex Pistols, which was a bit extreme for me, but my friend liked them, or the Ramones, The Clash, and the Talking Heads. Kids were really into them in school, dressed a bit differently, and it was considered new age, if I remember correctly. I developed a deeper appreciation for the bands over time, and as a DJ, I played them quite a bit. I just loved the post for the nostalgia. I also subscribed. I was just trolling along the Reeder when I found his and it is pretty good, check it out.
