Over the next few days, Being Kevin will be transitioning to a new email and newsletter platform called MailPoet. This change is designed to create a cleaner, more organized, and more professional reading experience for everyone who follows the blog.
The good news is simple: You Do Not Need To Do Anything
I will be handling the entire transition process personally, including:
- Moving all current subscribers to the new system
- Activating the new subscriber features
- Retiring the older WordPress email notification process
- Testing the new delivery system to make sure everything works properly
In short, you will continue receiving the same content you enjoy now, just in a much better format and with a more polished experience overall.
What Will Improve
Daily Email Digest
Instead of receiving multiple individual post notifications throughout the day, subscribers will receive one clean daily email containing all posts published over the previous 24 hours.
This creates:
- Less inbox clutter
- Easier reading
- Better organization
- A more professional newsletter-style format
Weekly Newsletter
A new weekly newsletter will also begin rolling out. This weekly edition will include:
- A roundup of the week’s blog posts
- Site updates and announcements
- Special features
- Commentary and reflections
- Future projects and upcoming content
The goal is to make BeingKevin feel less like a scattered stream of notifications and more like a well-organized publication readers can genuinely enjoy following.
During the Transition
As the cutover takes place, there may be a short period where some readers receive duplicate notifications or overlapping emails. If that happens, I apologize in advance and appreciate your patience while everything settles into the new system.
There is also a possibility that early emails from the new platform could end up in spam, junk, or promotions folders. If you see that happen, the messages are legitimate and are coming directly from Being Kevin.
If necessary:
- Mark the email as “Not Spam.”
- Move it into your inbox
- Add the sender to your contacts
That helps your email provider recognize future newsletters correctly.
Why I’m Making This Change
As the blog continues to grow, I wanted a system that:
- Delivers content more reliably
- Creates a cleaner reading experience
- Improves organization and presentation
- Makes communication easier and more consistent
- Gives subscribers a more professional newsletter experience
Most importantly, this transition allows me to continue focusing on what matters most: creating content worth reading.
Thank you again for following Being Kevin and for your continued support, comments, conversations, and encouragement. More updates — and the first official MailPoet newsletter — will be arriving soon.
