I don’t have a specific song that I turn to when I’m in a bad mood. In fact, I usually don’t listen to music at all when I’m feeling down. That said, there is one band I can listen to anytime, regardless of my mood, and if nothing else, it helps take my mind off things through its energy and rhythm.
That band is AC/DC.
One of the things I appreciate most about them is their consistency. They have never strayed far from their roots, and you always know what you’re going to get: straightforward, upbeat hard rock. There are no surprises, no attempts to chase the latest trends, and no sudden detours into pop or Top 40 territory. It’s simply one solid rock song after another.
I listen to them regardless of my mood, but when I need a little extra energy or a distraction from whatever is on my mind, their music always seems to do the trick. It’s hard not to get moving when AC/DC is playing.
