What’s the Bravest Thing You’ve Ever Done When No One Was Watching?
I saved three chickens from the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant rotisserie.
They were about to be cooked, but when nobody was looking, I set them free. I put them in my car and drove them to Old MacDonald’s farm.
They quickly became part of the farm’s entertainment program. Within a few days, they were appearing in the songs, making the whole operation feel surprisingly legitimate.
Unfortunately, their freedom didn’t last very long.
About a week later, the chickens disappeared.
Old MacDonald was laughing when I saw him, which I thought was a little suspicious. Then I noticed he was eating chicken nuggets.
So, apparently, my daring chicken rescue operation was less of a heroic escape and more of a very expensive delay, from the rotisserie to the deep fryer.
