Who Is Your Favorite Cartoon Character?

Really? Is this even a question?

Let’s cover the big issue first. Looney Tunes are cartoons. Everything else just takes up space, with the small exceptions of Scooby-Doo and maybe The Jetsons.

Now, specifically, all the Looney Tunes characters are perfect. From the king, Bugs Bunny, to Tweety and Sylvester, Yosemite Sam (also tattooed on my arm), Foghorn Leghorn—and who can forget Marvin the Martian? He was even a mainstay on Friends.

So, to the question, it is Bugs. Hands down.

The original best smart-ass on TV.

  1. One of my favorites is when Bugs comes to direct the orchestra and everyone is like “Leopold…it’s Leopold” and he has the wig on.

    1. YES, and he has his hand up; the glove stays there while he takes his arm down, the singer turning red, holding the note. A classic.

      1. It would make a great tattoo.

      2. My first tat was Yosemite Sam when I was 20. Kind of faded now.

      3. That’s cool

    2. That is true, we have talked about it, and I hope we can get to Europe and travel around on a train.

  2. I think my favorite cartoons (movies and albums books) is Asterix and maybe some other Bandé Dessiné like Tintin and Gaston La Gaffe.

    1. Never heard of those.

      1. They are very popular in Europe and Asia. Asterix is among the most popular cartoons in the world and has been translated to 110 languages and the cartoon books sold in several hundreds of millions of copies. There are Asterix theme parks, just like Disneyland. The same with Tintin. As a kid I’ve read hundreds of them. They were never a hit in the US though, (nor Japan), which is probably why you’ve never heard of them. My guess is that both the US and Japan already had a very strong comic culture.

      2. My so is big in to animee

  3. You’ve really nailed it with Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny is indeed the king. I remember watching him as a kid, and he always had a way of outsmarting everyone. It’s interesting how some characters, like Marvin the Martian, still pop up in popular culture today, even on shows like Friends. That Yosemite Sam tattoo sounds like a real commitment to the classics! It’s funny how those old cartoons stick with you, bringing back a lot of good memories. They really don’t make them like that anymore, do they?

    1. They sure don’t make them like this anymore. Yes Marvin is on friends. Tweety was in my doctors office with bugs! Thanks for the reply.
