If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be?

This one actually made me stop and think. Do I go with a cartoon character like Bugs Bunny or someone a little more grounded like Cosmo Kramer? At least Kramer is human, so I’ll go that route.

I mean, Kramer had his intern, Darin. Maybe I could manage Kramer’s schedule and set up a lunch meeting with Jerry. I’d love to hear the stories behind Jackie Chiles, the lawsuit that earned him café lattes for life, the oil tanker bladder system, and the make-your-own-pie restaurant.

Of course, we’d have to discuss how he somehow convinced J. Peterman to buy his life stories, how he managed to lead a strike at the bagel shop despite barely working there, and how he talked Frank Costanza into wearing “The Bro”… or was it the Manssiere?

Then there’s the Kavorka. Somehow every woman was attracted to him, even though he couldn’t remain master of his domain after catching a glimpse of the naked woman across the street. I guess I’d better have a garlic necklace handy.

Half the fun wouldn’t even be the conversation. It would be waiting for that front door to fly open as Kramer burst into the apartment, skidding to a stop before launching into whatever ridiculous idea he was convinced would make him millions that week. I’m also pretty sure he’d bring a papaya for dessert.

Knowing Kramer, he’d probably help himself to everything in my refrigerator before I even had a chance to ask what he wanted for dinner.

Now that I think about it, dinner with Kramer probably wouldn’t be dinner at all.

It would be an episode.
