Do you believe in karma?
My wife does, and I really want to believe in it too. I just have one problem with karma: I would rather see it while I’m still alive.
If you are a jackass and do something that clearly deserves some form of retribution, I want to see that big karmic kick in the balls while I’m here to enjoy it. I don’t want to hear about it someday after I’m dead. What good is that?
I want the karma, but I want the payment, or at least a down payment, in the moment.
Hell, I would probably pay to watch it. In some cases, I might even volunteer to administer the justice myself.
Maybe that’s not technically karma. Maybe that’s just me wanting a little customer service from the universe.
