How do you know what is real or Truthful

How do you know what is real or Truthful? When the everyday talk gets muddled with bits to form a position

Daily Prompt: How do you know what is real or truthful

It’s getting harder and harder to know what’s real anymore. I’m not talking about the obvious, straight‑up lie — the kind you can spot a mile away. I mean the half‑truths, the selective slices of reality that get shaped, seasoned, and served in a way that feels almost genuine… but not quite.

I remember when watching the news meant choosing from just a few sources, and you could trust — without hesitation — that what you were hearing was grounded in honesty. Today, every feed, every headline, every “breaking update” comes with a slant. Some are subtle, some are blatant, but all of them seem to mix a little truth with a whole lot of extra fat you have to cut away.

So I’m genuinely curious:

How do you separate fact from fiction?

Where do you draw the line between what feels trustworthy and what feels manipulated?

I’d really like to hear your thoughts.

to the beautiful absurdity of life in Brazil. This blog is my digital

porch, a place for unpolished commentary on book reviews,

daily gripes, and the random thoughts of a guy who finally has

the time to pay attention. I’m an observant realist with a deep

only comes after the career ends. I write to stay sharp, to stay

honest, and to keep the conversation going.

The truth is, I don’t know. So I trust on my instincts, go with my gut, and let the chips fall where they may.

    1. Thanks for the reply. Sometimes that is all we can do and look for that sliver in the middle and sprinkle in common sense.
