What’s the Best Thing You’ve Ever Found Randomly on the Street?
Well, there were the two hookers, of course. That was a good time. They even paid for dinner.
Then there was the circus monkey. He came running over when he saw my bag of bananas. I thought we had formed a genuine connection, but apparently I was just the guy with the bananas.
I did find a turtle once. He seemed nice enough, but he ran away—or walked away. I’m not really sure how fast turtles can move when they are motivated. Either way, he was gone when I woke up.
I once found a perfectly good umbrella on the sidewalk. Of course, I only found it because it was raining. I took it home, dried it out, and promptly forgot where I put it. So technically, I found an umbrella and then lost it.
I also found a wallet once. Unfortunately, there was no money in it, just someone’s driver’s license and several receipts proving they had made some questionable purchases.
And then there was the candy bar.
I found it on the sidewalk, which initially seemed like a nice little surprise. Then I noticed it was half eaten.
That just made me mad.
Not because someone threw away a perfectly good candy bar.
Because apparently someone else got to the good half first.
